Understanding massage therapy takes just a few moments. Allow us to help you understand what it’s like to experience professional massage at our practice.
I’ve never had a massage. What should I expect?
You may be nervous about receiving your first massage because you don’t know what to expect. Understanding massage therapy and your upcoming experience matters. Visit our First Massage page and learn more!
How can I book an appointment?
As a first time visitor, we recommend you call us. We’ll help you through the booking process. If you prefer to book your own appointment, look for the Book Appointment links in the header and footer or throughout the pages you are visiting. You can also send us an Appointment Request by email.
Which therapist is best for me?
We trust all our therapists to provide you with an excellent therapeutic massage. If you simply want a massage and are looking for a qualified group, any of our therapists can provide that for you! If you have specific needs for services such as pregnancy or fertility massage, advanced sports massage, or advanced medical massage, please call and we’ll help match the right therapists for your needs. You may also visit our Meet Our Team page and read about each therapist’s specialty, education, and professional contributions.
Are your prices negotiable?
We do not negotiate on price. However, we do offer package pricing and a first time visitor promotional discount with our staff therapists*. Our therapists are paid higher than average in our profession and they are expected to maintain a higher level of training. To maintain this high standard there is only so much we can do to compete with the deep discount clubs.
*Appointments booked with founding partners Laura Lansiedel Ford and Tammy Campbell are not eligible for discounts.
Are tips expected?
Given that massage therapy is subject to service industry competitive pricing, our therapists depend on tips as a part of their income. Tipping is appreciated but never solicited.
What is your cancellation and no-show policy?
Appointments rescheduled or cancelled by 5 pm the day prior to your scheduled time are not subject to our cancellation and no-show policy. If you cannot make your appointment, we encourage you to invite a friend or family member to take your place. Please plan ahead as we charge the full session price for late cancellations and no-shows and we do not take pleasure in having to charge you when you cannot attend. Please carefully consider the time you book when scheduling a same day appointment.
Do you accept workman’s compensation cases?
This depends on the workman’s compensation company and our participation is determined on a case by case basis.
Will my insurance plan or flex spending account cover medical massage therapy?
This depends on your company’s policies and it’s individual requirements. Most flex spending accounts consider therapeutic massage a covered benefit. In that case, your tax savings can equate to a 25% price break. Payment is due at the time of service. To seek reimbursement from an insurance company, a prescription for medically necessary massage may be required and can be obtained from your family doctor. Please contact us in advance if you are involved in a personal injury claim, motor vehicle accident, or workman’s compensation claim. We’re happy to help!
