James (Matthew) Fisher

NC LMBT # 22563

Matthew Fisher is a licensed massage and bodywork therapist who graduated from the massage therapy program at Gwinnett College in Raleigh, NC. He brings a grounded, hardworking approach to bodywork, shaped by both his clinical training and a diverse life background.

Matthew enjoys working with clients who experience Thoracic Outlet Syndrome, as it is something he personally experiences. He also has a strong interest in helping those with fibromyalgia and other chronic pain conditions. His work emphasizes deep tissue massage, trigger point therapy, and focused adhesion release to create meaningful, lasting change in the body.

Matthew is committed to expanding his clinical skill set and plans to pursue advanced training in Neuromuscular Therapy, Sports Massage, and Graston Technique to better serve clients needing in-depth, corrective care.

Before becoming a massage therapist, Matthew spent nearly a decade as a sailor, traveling around the world while pursuing cooking, another passion of his. He trained in hospitality and kitchen management at the Harry Lundeberg School of Seamanship in Piney Point, Maryland. That experience instilled in him discipline, attention to detail, and a deep appreciation for service, qualities he now brings into the treatment room.

Outside of massage, Matthew loves baking bread and making pizza, hiking, drawing, writing stories, keeping fish, and spending time with dogs. His varied interests and life experiences give him a relatable, down-to-earth presence that helps clients feel comfortable and understood.

Matthew’s goal is simple – to provide focused, effective work that helps people move more freely and live with less pain.
