Jason Yohe

Massage Therapist

Jason’s introduction to massage therapy is a bit unique for our time. Jason has been a bodyworker since graduating highschool. He had the opportunity to be grandfathered into the profession when Pennsylvania began to license therapists. He returned to school to obtain a formal education and graduated in 2012. His introduction to massage therapy was by helping his mom’s neck feel better after a long day at the computer. We can all relate to how that feels! At Hands On Health Jason enjoys an environment where customers have the encouragement to work with the therapist as a therapist and not solely a technician for temporary relief. Jason loves to help any way he can within the scope of practice of a massage therapist, from pain and stress relief to recovery from an injury.

Throughout his career, Jason has worked with a professional football team located out of Pittsburgh and he jokes that he has hands of “steel”. He describes his breadth of practice as being from the beginning “very woo woo” prior to his formal education to more clinical after graduating in 2012. He listens for clues as to what your goals are for massage therapy and brings in that depth of practice into the session.

A quote from one of the owners: “As soon as you meet Jason, you will get the sense that he is passionate about his work and helping others. I was able to receive targeted work relating to my low back. Not only did he work with my low back but we explored the relationship of the knee and hamstring to the low back restrictions. I enjoyed Jason’s attention to detail yet he was still able to perform a connected massage on the areas where I needed extra attention.” ~ Laura Ford
